7 in 10 collegiate athletes start practice dehydrated. do you?

Most athletes track sleep, nutrition, and recovery. Water intake stays a guess. syp is hydration intelligence — real measurement, not estimates.

Athletes on field

potential health effects
of dehydration.

chronic dehydration is linked to higher injury risk, performance loss, and slower recovery.

Performance
performance

your output drops fast.

Losing just 2% of body weight in fluids measurably impairs performance. Above 5%, work capacity falls by around 30%. That's a normal training session in heat.

Prevalence
prevalence

most start already behind.

70% of collegiate athletes arrive at practice dehydrated. The problem isn't what happens during training. It's that they never caught up from the day before.

Recovery
recovery

tomorrow pays for today.

Dehydrated athletes show higher muscle damage markers and greater soreness after exercise. The next session starts compromised before it begins.

what our athletes are saying.

"I was tracking macros, sleep, and recovery down to the minute. Water I was completely guessing at. That gap was the biggest one and I didn't even see it until syp showed me."

"I joined syp because in triathlon, there's nothing more important than staying on top of hydration — especially during an Ironman when you're losing fluid for 10+ hours straight. I believe in syp to help me perform my best, which is why I wanted to be a part of it."

"Winning in your sport at a high level means preparing better than your opponent, and hydration can make the world of a difference."

"I joined syp because I genuinely have always believed hydration comes straight after sleep in terms of recovery. Most think caffeine or energy supplements are your fuel — these are the additives. Fuel is the water you take, and if you can take it intelligently and structurally, performance increases drastically."

"Joining syp has really shown me how important hydration is for both performance and recovery. As a Division I athlete, staying properly hydrated makes such a difference in my energy, focus, and how I feel every day. I decided to join syp because I loved the mission behind the brand and wanted to be part of something that promotes wellness and helps athletes perform at their best."

frequently asked
questions.

our first production run ships to D1 pilot programs in fall 2026. founding-member waitlist orders follow in early 2027. waitlist members get a confirmed ship date by email before any public release.
yes. syp clips onto any bottle within our diameter range — covering owala, stanley, nalgene, and most gatorade squeeze bottles. a universal-fit expansion to half-gallon jugs is in development.
WHOOP estimates hydration from sweat — not actual intake. smart bottles require you to replace your bottle and often conflict with team sponsorships. syp works with what you already have and measures what you actually drink.
your intake data is yours. teams only see data for athletes who opt in and authorize program-level visibility.
one charge lasts 1 to 2 days of active use. we recommend charging overnight so you're always ready for training.
